Coming of age final

My first season playing pony baseball was when they called strikes and balls, on this team every one went to school together accept me. I was isolated from the rest of the team, no one wanted to talk to me, no one wanted to throw with me, and no one wanted anything to do with me.

Our first game was today, feeling scared, wondering what was going to happen when i strike out or make a bad play, how were my teammates going to react. Will they boo at me , cuss me out, or still isolate me. The game has started, i was playing at third base, the ball was hit right at me, i tried to duck but it was to late. When i woke up, there was a large bump on my head, in the distance i hear my teammates laughing at me, trying to copy what they saw. After the game it was time to eat, i was the last one in line because i couldn't really walk, after i got my food i went to go sit by them, but sadly they had the nerve to stand up and go sit somewhere else. Even this is the first game we still don't know each other that well yet.

On Monday we had practice, my grandma asked me what was the matter because I had a  worried look on my face, I just sat in there looking threw the window saying nothing. I get out of the car and I see them laughing and having a good time. Right before we went to the field to get ground balls, one of the coaches pulled me off to the side. He had a curious face expression on and he asked me if was alright, I looked down and  didn't say anything, then he said “ Isaiah, a new teammate is like a new student in your class, very shy, probable doesn’t have friends, isolated from everyone else” you don't want them to treat you like the new student right, so introduce your self, become friends with them, show them the real you.

On Saturday was our second game of the season. When i got out of the car and i started to walk to the dugout, i was thinking about how was i going to get more interactive with my teammates. was i going to go with the "Hello nice to meet" or  a "How do you do". It was our turn to bat i was sitting on the bench and i see one of my teammates struggling with a Gatorade bottle, i took up all of my courage that i had and went to help him out, at first he didn't know who i was but then he said " your that new kid right from Halawa right" i nodded.

After that persist moment when he acknowledged me i had this kinda of burst of encouragement inside me to just be myself around anyone, old and new friends it doesn't matter, i now have the courage now to be myself not anything else.

Mini essay

There are about hundred or more cases about tourism safety when going to Hawaii tourist attractions. This article has given some accidents that have happened. we are trying to find out if it is the states or the tourists themselves fault.

There was a Northern California man that disappeared from a blow hole tourist attraction on Maui, during the investigation of this man there was a heated debate between the man family and Maui's government about they were not warned about that the blow hole a dangerous, but the government in there defense stated that the have put a good amount of well viewable signs that say "Blowhole:Park and walk at your own risk".Even thought the tourists family said that they didn't see the signs they should have a little common scene, i mean your going to a blow hole you should look for sighs and if there isn't you shouldn't go because it might not be safe to proceed. Also in this article there was yet another California man who straddled the blowhole also another example of no common scenes, and yet the family's are asking for money when they have no common scenes.

To me i think that the government shouldn't pay the family's for there actions because they gave them fair warning its not like there no signs at all.

Problem statements

  1. dangerous areas.
  2. Because the visitors lacked common sense, the should be held accountable for the incidents, seeing as signs stating, "Enter At Your Own Risk," were posted.
  3. The state is obligated to post signs, but it is the visitors' responsibility to act with caution and common sense around these dangerous areas.
The state is obligated to post signs, but it is the visitors' responsibility to act with caution and common sense around these dangerous areas. In most the incidents that were in the article, the people were harmed or killed due to lack of caution and common sense that they had at the time. The states should post more legitimate looking signs, since the warning signs around were hand-made and probably not taken too seriously. Although it was partially the state's fault for the lack of "real" caution signs, the visitors around should have taken the warnings seriously, nonetheless.
I believe that the visitors should be held accountable for their actions. David Potts was dancing around the blowhole when the wave hit him, and he fell into it. He was not being cautious or using his common sense, when he clearly should have since he was around a dangerous area. It was because of his foolish behavior, that he was not found, and is most likely dead. Daniel Dick was only eighteen years old when straddled an explosive water sprout and had gotten a serious head injury. The area was not equipped with a warning sign, but it is common sense to not do such a thing. He was not granted any financial compensation, for his accident. These events were unfortunate, but could have been easily avoided, had the visitors acted with more caution and care.
Due to these terrible incidents, more signs and precautions are being taken more seriously by the tourists and visitors. The staff working at some of these dangerous attractions, are especially taking the warnings more seriously and informing the visitors more often.

Blog revision

My blog revision is a baseball theme because baseball is a mental sport and English and school is all mental. I changed the baseball glove to the background to help the focus on the baseball theme and the title Is a famous quote but I have changed the last word to make it sound more related to baseball. I have also put a background filter so when people read my blog they can see my title. And change the font color and background on blog posts.
